Departure Hints

Connie Sgarbossa, the vocalist of the popular hardcore band SeeYouSpaceCowboy, has hinted that she may leave the group. This comes after the band faced backlash for announcing a tour with Dance Gavin Dance. In 2022, Dance Gavin Dance’s singer Tilian Pearson was accused of sexual assault.

He took a break from the band to seek help but later rejoined while denying any wrongdoing. Pearson officially left Dance Gavin Dance in 2024. SeeYouSpaceCowboy has dealt with controversy before.

In April, they dropped bassist Nico Borgia from their tour due to abuse allegations. They also removed the band Roman Candle from the tour.

Hints departure from SeeYouSpaceCowboy

Some fans accused SeeYouSpaceCowboy of hypocrisy for going on tour with Dance Gavin Dance given their past stance on these issues. Sgarbossa seemed to address the controversy in two tweets yesterday. She said, “Believe me, there is no part of me as an individual that backs this either.”

She then tweeted, “Probably gonna be leaving SYSC due to a lack of urgency on issues I have been bringing up for a while now.

It was fun while it lasted.”

Sgarbossa’s tweets suggest she may step away from the band if her concerns continue to be ignored. Fans are now unsure about the future of SeeYouSpaceCowboy as they wait to see what happens next. It’s unfortunate to see Sgarbossa potentially leave the group.

However, if the band is not addressing important issues she has raised, it may be the right decision for her. The coming weeks and months will likely bring more clarity to the situation.
