Thurman joins cast of ‘Dexter: Resurrection’

Uma Thurman will star in the new series “Dexter: Resurrection” on Paramount+ with Showtime. She joins Michael C. Hall, who will reprise his role as the serial killer Dexter Morgan.

Thurman will play Charley, the head of security for a mysterious billionaire named Leon Prater. Charley is a former Special Ops officer who has worked various high-level private security jobs. She is described as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.

Other cast members include David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, James Remar as Dexter’s deceased father Harry Morgan, and Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan. They are all reprising their roles from previous “Dexter” series.

Thurman joins Dexter: role details

“Dexter: Resurrection” is currently in production in New York. It is set to premiere this summer. The series will serve as a direct follow-up to “Dexter: New Blood,” which aired in 2021.

Clyde Phillips is the showrunner and executive producer. Hall is also an executive producer along with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega will produce and direct six episodes.

Monica Raymund will direct four episodes. Thurman is an Oscar and Emmy nominee known for her roles in films like “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill.” She recently starred in “Red, White and Royal Blue,” “Oh, Canada,” and “The Kill Room.”

“Dexter: Resurrection” is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios. It will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
