Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner reunite at kids' play

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were seen together at a school play for their kids in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday. The former couple arrived separately to the event. Affleck, 52, was photographed stepping out for a smoke during the play.

Garner, also 52, kept it casual in a jacket, sweater, and jeans. The two share three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. They have remained friendly since their divorce, especially in recent months following Affleck’s high-profile split from Jennifer Lopez.

An insider said in July 2024 that Garner has been supportive of Lopez, 55, during this time. “She’s been helpful to J.Lo, and they’ve been relating to each other,” the source revealed. Affleck and Garner first met on the set of “Pearl Harbor” in 2001 and reconnected in 2004.

They married in June 2005 and started a family together. In 2015, after a decade of marriage, they announced their decision to divorce.

“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to coparenting our children,” they said in a joint statement. A source later shared that coparenting has always been a priority for the pair. “They stay on top of things and have a lot of meetings and check-ins,” the insider noted in March 2020.

Both Affleck and Garner have moved on since their split. Garner has been dating John Miller on and off since 2018, while Affleck rekindled his romance with Lopez in early 2021. However, in August 2024, it was confirmed that Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, citing their date of separation as April.

“She was very in love with Ben, but love isn’t enough sometimes,” another source commented. Lopez, who has 16-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, is reportedly “having fun” and “enjoying being single” while focusing on her career and personal well-being.
