CBS has announced the cancellation of six shows as it prepares for the 2025-2026 TV season. The canceled programs include “Poppa’s House,” “The Summit,” “Blue Bloods,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “FBI: International,” and “S.W.A.T.”

“Poppa’s House,” starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., aired for just one season. It was CBS’s least-watched scripted program of the 2024-2025 season.

Wayans shared his thoughts on social media, saying, “Creating ‘Poppa’s House’ was such a beautiful journey. Though the show is coming to a close, I’m walking away with deep gratitude, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable memories.”

“The Summit,” a reality competition series, also lasted only one season.

CBS cancels long-running TV staples

“FBI: International” was on air for four seasons, while “FBI: Most Wanted” ran for six. “S.W.A.T” had an eight-season run, and “Blue Bloods” was a staple on CBS for fourteen seasons. Tom Selleck, the star of “Blue Bloods,” expressed his frustration over the show’s cancellation in an interview last October.

“I’m kind of frustrated,” he said. “During those final episodes, I didn’t want to talk about an ending for ‘Blue Bloods,’ but about its continued success.” Selleck noted that the show consistently performed well in ratings and was often taken for granted because of its steady performance. Despite these cancellations, CBS has renewed several shows for the 2025-2026 season, including “Ghosts,” “NCIS” and its spinoffs, and “Tracker.”

“Blue Bloods” remains available for streaming on Paramount+.
